Daisy went Trick or Treating 2 nights in a row. First she was Snow White and last night 'a princess'. She came home with lots of sweets, of which we confiscated and ate most of them....

First Bath

After a mega poo this morning, we gave Sky her first bath. She was pretty good about the whole thing. Then we dressed her up like a zebra.

First night at home

Daniel and Nicola remembered from Daisy that the first night at home with a new born can be..... challenging. Sky didn't disappoint, waking up 912 times in 8 hours and insisting on only sleeping on mum's tummy. Seems like like she wanted to get back in, which seeing the monsoon weather in Hong Kong last night, you can't really blame her. She seems to be be very alert when awake, and makes good eye contact when you look at her, especially when she is sneaking out a cheeky poo.

Daisy Gets a sister

Not much fasting or shul for us on Yom Kippur, as the new baby decided to make a break for it to ensure maximum holiness.

We started at 5:30am, and what followed was a 13hr hour labour during which Daniel and Nicola watched the whole of Season 5 of Friends (Daniel sitting in a vibrating massage chair with Nicola downing epidural like it was vodka tonic).

Then at 8:47pm we welcomed into the world Sky Plus/Sports/Movies/News Isabella Burke. Isabella is from Daniel's Grandma Bella, and Sky is....well...from the sky. Daisy and Beth were also on hand, and Daisy was able to open her presents from her little sister. This meant she has spent the rest of the day walking around in a crown, magic wand, and polyester fairy outfit and tutu, which has basically turned her into a gipsy-style fire hazard. I dropped Daisy off at nursery today only to find they'd built a sukkah in the classroom!
